It can be overwhelming to find help for your child to improve their articulation and/or language skills. There are stories of difficulties finding a therapist whose values align with your, who are specialized in your area of need, or who are available for services today. At Hart Therapy Services, speech language therapy services are offered in person for families in Atlanta and virtually across Georgia. For families outside of the range of service here or with needs outside our scope, we want to provide references for families across the state to find the support they need.
Step 1: Search for services providers in your area.
There are a lot of options for speech therapy sessions, including in-home, in-school, in-clinic, and virtual options. Below is a map of multiple speech pathology services in Atlanta, GA.
Step 2: Schedule a call
Many speech language pathologists offer consultation calls or intake calls to learn more about services offered, specialty areas, and values of therapists. Be ready to share a bit about your child and your goals for therapy. Ask questions if you are looking for therapy in a specialized approach or a specific disorder (neurodiversity affirming, child-led, gestalt language, voice, swallowing, and more).
Step 3: Follow ups
Inquire about insurance, or see if Superbills are provided. Some speech language pathology clinics offer superbills, or medical receipts to submit for reimbursements. Reach out to your insurance company to see if they reimburse for out-of-network providers. This would likely be provided once your meet your deductible by sending monthly superbills (or receipts) and receiving a reimbursement check directly from your insurance company.

Once you find a speech therapist who fits your needs, schedule an evaluation to determine goals and needs, or therapy that fits your schedule.
